The three-year-old boy who was killed in a house fire in Navan, Co. Meath this morning has been named.

The three-year-old boy who was killed in a house fire in Navan, Co. Meath this morning has been named.

Aaron Carolan died when the fire broke out in his home in Saint Oliver's Park in Kentstown early this morning.

The boy was trapped upstairs despite attempts by neighbours and rescue services to reach him.

The toddler's mother has been released from Our Lady's Hospital in Navan after being treated for smoke inhalation.
