Two die in separate road accidents

Two people were killed in separate road accidents overnight.

A man in his 30s died after he was struck by a car on the Naas Road in Dublin.

The accident happened at 2am close to Rathcoole.

A woman, also in her 30s, was killed when her car went out of control and hit a wall in Co Laois.

The single vehicle accident happened shortly after midnight on the road between Ballybrittas and Portarlington.
