The Government has ordered a review of Ireland’s national emergency plan following the attacks in the United States on September 11th.

The Government has ordered a review of Ireland’s national emergency plan following the attacks in the United States on September 11th.

A security committee comprising Gardai, Army officers and civil servants will examine the current plan amid warnings of possible chemical or biological attacks.

The committee will decide if the current plans are adequate to protect the Irish public.
