Bosses at Ryanair say they do not intend to make staff redundant in a hard-hitting advertising campaign launched today.

Bosses at Ryanair say they do not intend to make staff redundant in a hard-hitting advertising campaign launched today.

The advertisement appeared in all the national newspapers today and claims that the best way to respond to the recent terrorist attacks in the US is to keep people flying.

Under the caption ‘Lets fight back’ the company hopes that by keeping fares low and introducing new aircraft and new routes they can encourage an anxious public back to the skies.

Ryanair bosses are to meet with shareholders at today’s AGM and they hope to convince them that relying on state aid is not the solution.

Meanwhile, the national airline, Aer Lingus, is today forwarding more information on cost-saving cutbacks to the Minister for Public Enterprise.

The national carrier is facing the biggest crisis in its chequered history with hundreds of lay-offs expected as the demand for flights drops internationally.
