Gardai predict rise in drug trafficking

Gardai are currently preparing for an increase in drug trafficking in the run-up to the euro changeover on January 1st 2002.

Detectives believe that drug dealers will try to convert their Irish currency into stock because changing it for euro currency will attract attention.
