Fox killings: Man is arrested

Gardai have arrested a 32-year-old man in connection with the murder of Debbie Fox and her two young children in Castledaly, Co Westmeath last weekend.

The man was arrested in Ballinasloe this afternoon. Gardai believe Ms Fox and her sons, seven-year-old Killian and nine-year-old Trevor, were stabbed to death in the early hours of Saturday morning.

Ms Fox's husband, Greg, was also injured on the same night and has been in hospital since.

An armed garda presence has been by his bedside since the killings took place.
