Two held after overnight Dublin shooting

Two men have been arrested following an early morning shooting in Dublin.

The incident occurred at about 1.45am on Emmett Rd in the Inchicore area of the city.

Two gunmen fired a shotgun at a house, hitting a man inside on the shoulder.

The victim was treated for pellet wounds but later discharged himself from hospital.

Gardai detained two men for questioning shortly afterwards and recovered a shotgun.

Meanwhile, detectives in Crumlin will be meeting again this morning to review the evidence gathered since the weekend murder of well-known criminal Seamus Hogan.

Speculation since the killing has focused on paramilitaries, but gardai say Hogan had many enemies.
