Ahern insists veto on ESB's Polish bid was correct

The Taoiseach has insisted that the decision to veto the ESB from bidding for a Polish electricity company was based on the advice of all government deputies.

The ESB was forced to pull out of the race at a very late stage last week, when £3m had already been spent on the bid.
