A man who distributed skin creams which had not been authorised for sale in Ireland, has been prosecuted by the Irish Medicines Board.

A man who distributed skin creams which had not been authorised for sale in Ireland, has been prosecuted by the Irish Medicines Board.

Donal Walsh of the Cherryfield Clinic of Herbal Medicine, Ballysimon Road, Limerick, was prosecuted at Newport District Court in Co Tipperary for the sale of two herbal creams containing cortico-steroids for skin conditions.

The charges relate to the sale of medicines by mail order, which is illegal in Ireland.

Mr Walsh was fined IR£3,000.
