North elections: Newtownards focus of Agreement battle
In the Northern elections, the count centre at Newtownards will witness some of the top battles between pro-Agreement and anti-Agreement unionists.
Two of the key battle grounds are in the constituencies of North Down and Strangford.
In Strangford, the departure of UUP deputy leader John Taylor has seen a dogged fight for his seat.
Iris Robinson of the DUP has been putting up a strong fight, as has David McNally of the pro-Agreement UUP.
North Down's outcome could signal current feelings on the ground about the Good Friday Agreement.
Sylvia Hermon, wife of former RUC chief John Hermon, is challenging with anti-Agreement MP Robert McCartney, who holds a majority of 1,449 from the last election of 1997.
