Ahern admits voters want more information about Nice Treaty

Taoiseach Bertie Ahern has said today that many voters have unanswered questions about the crucial referendum on the Treaty of Nice - only nine days before it goes ahead.

A No vote on the treaty, which is "fundamentally" about enlarging the European Union into eastern and central Europe, would be "extremely damaging", he said.
