ASTI rejects talks on schoolyard supervision pay
The ASTI's central executive has voted by 88 to 72 not to enter talks with the government over pay for supervising school breaks.
Members had been locked in discussions at the RDS in Dublin since 11am this morning, with the end vote closer than anticipated.
However, the union is expected to postpone balloting on further industrial action while the other two teaching unions, the TUI and the INTO, continue their talks with the Department of Education.
