A legal problem over the unlawful detention of a 15-year-old boy at a Dublin garda station at the weekend is expected to be resolved shortly.

A legal problem over the unlawful detention of a 15-year-old boy at a Dublin garda station at the weekend is expected to be resolved shortly.

It is understood that the Office of the Attorney General will confirm at the Children's Court in Dublin that a bed has been found for the teenager who was sent to Oberstown for detention but had to be turned away.

The High Court ruled yesterday that the detention of the boy at Donnybrook garda station in Dublin was unlawful because to court order stated that he should be detained at Oberstown in Lusk.
