Sinn Fein meets with Taoiseach re: ban
Sinn Fein will today ask the Taoiseach to put pressure on the British Government to bring an end to David Trimble's ban on its Stormont ministers attending north-south ministerial council meetings.
Mr Trimble imposed the ban in light of the IRA's failure to decommission its arms.
Ministers Bairbre de Bruin and Martin McGuinness will join party president Gerry Adams when he meets the Taoiseach this afternoon at Government buildings.
Sinn Fein vice-president, Pat Doherty says the ban imposed by the north's first minister is unlawful.
