Loyalist Ormeau march to go ahead

A decision to allow loyalists to march along a flashpoint nationalist area in the North has been upheld.

Representatives from the Lower Ormeau Concerned Community met the Parades Commission last night in a bid to have Easter Monday's Apprentice Boys march in south Belfast blocked.

But after considering the case, the Commission said the parade should still go ahead, adding any protests against the parade should be peaceful and within the law.

Residents have pledged to stage mass protests in the area before the march.
