Tribunal hears about previous knowledge of licences

The Planning Tribunal has been told that music promoter Oliver Barry and Gay Byrne discussed applying for a national radio licence on November 6th 1987, ten days before the Government made public its intentions to invite applications for radio licences.

Ray Burke told Justice Flood that he does not know how his close friend Oliver Barry could have known the Government's intentions in advance.
