Louth man killed in road accident

A 24-year-old man has been killed in a road accident in Co Louth.

It is understood the man was killed when the car he was driving, plunged down a 20 feet bank at Aclint Bridge in Ardee.

The man's family made the grim discovery late last night after launching a search when the victim failed to return home on Saturday night.

The lastest death brings to five the number of people killed on the country's roads at the weekend.
