Letter offensive to republicans

The Sinn Fein President, Gerry Adams, has described Mr. Trimble’s letter to Martin McGuinness and Bairbre De Bruin as grossly offensive to nationalists and republicans.

Speaking ahead of his party’s Ard Comhairle meeting today, Mr. Adams said that the letter would make efforts to find a peace settlement even more difficult.
