ESB warns of possible fallen power lines

The ESB has issued a warning about the dangers of falling power lines as the country prepares for heavy weather today.

The alert comes amid forecasts of winds of up to Force 11 during the course of the day.

ESB spokesman Michael Kelly said the company had put all of its crews on standby and appealed to the members of the public who see fallen lines not to approach them, but to contact gardai or the company.
