VIDEO: How the ambulance service deals with road collisions

It may look like a serious incident, but the scene on the N71 between Bandon and Clonakilty today was merely a simulated accident to raise awareness of road safety.

Members of the emergency services carried out the exercise for Fourth Year pupils of the four secondary schools in Bandon.

"Our message here today is to give awareness of road safety, and what happens really at road accidents, what we see as frontline emergency workers every day," Barry Hayes from the National Ambulance Service in Clonakilty tells Dan Linehan.
