Justice Minister Frances Fitzgerald has warned further gangland deaths are likely following the second murder on the streets of Dublin in four days last night. “Tonight’s fatal shooting in Dublin is another deplorable example of the ruthlessness of gangland criminals,” she said yesterday.

Six days before the horrific attack at the Regency Hotel, it was reported that senior criminals had flown to Dublin to attend boxing events. However, the Justice Minister has said there was no intelligence to justify having gardaí outside the Regency Hotel on Friday.
