Fianna Fáil leader Micheál Martin has criticised Enda Kenny's lack of visits to flood-hit areas - despite admitting he himself has not been to areas outside of his native Cork.

The Office of Public Works said this afternoon that water levels on the River Shannon have started to fall or remained stable. Levels on the river remain above 2009 thresholds and the flooding threat still remains, however.
