St Luke’s care home launches fundraising drive

The work of St Luke’s Home, a care facility for the elderly located in the Cork suburb of Mahon which has operated in the city since the 1870s, was celebrated yesterday at the launch of its annual fundraising campaign.

At the launch at the Irish Examiner offices in Linn Dubh, Blackpool, Cork, were Rev Edwin Hunter and Joan Hanna, directors, CEO David O’Brien, funding committee members Dave O’Driscoll, Ted Crosbie, and Brian Lenihan, Oonagh O’Driscoll, director of marketing, John Mullins who will be guest speaker at the lunch on October 9, and Lord Mayor of Cork, Chris O’Leary.

The 22nd annual corporate fundraising lunch for St Luke’s will take place at the Maryborough House Hotel.
