Public asked to choose sites for 1916 walking app

However, rather than the sites being chosen by the usual list of museum curators, historians, librarians, archivists and other experts, the UCD team creating the app have decided to let the public choose the sites they think are the most important 1916 sites people using the app should visit.

Funded in part by the Irish Research Council and the UCD Humanities Centre, the app is the brainchild of Amber Cushing and Ben Cowan of the UCD School of Information and Communication Studies and is due to be launched in April next year in time for the centenary of the Rising.
