CCTV footage of bank robber in Cork

Gardaí say they have good CCTV footage of the man who held up a bank in Cork city armed with a knife on Thursday.

They have also said the culprit in the Ulster Bank robbery in Blackpool will struggle to wash off the security dye which discharged from the cash bag and appealed for any neighbours or friends who notice someone covered in the distinctive purple ink to contact Mayfield garda station.

“Someone out there has a lot of dye on their hands. They are probably lying low right now because of that. But someone who knows him will have seen it ,” a senior garda said.
