VIDEO: Mad Hatters Day at the Galway Races

Fun and Colour is the theme for this spectacular day. The Mad Hatters competition is hugely popular, the effort and creativity of the entrants is a fabulous spectacle.

Family Day and Mad Hatters Day takes place on the Sunday of the Summer Festival Meeting. Fun and Colour is the theme for this spectacular day. Children areadmitted free of charge on the day. There is lots of entertainment for the young racegoer, bouncy castles, slides, face painting and crazy characters throughout the enclosure.

The Mad Hatters competition is hugely popular, the effort and creativity of the entrants is spectacular. Ireland West Airport together with their partners Ryanair, Aer Lingus and Flybe generously sponsor the Mad Hatters Competition for both adults and children.

Competition Entry: Entrants should proceed to the Mad Hatters Tent located behind the Tote where our judge will view the spectacular headpieces on show. The winners will be announced at the Stage which is located behind the Millennium Stand at approximately 4.00 p.m

The first prize for adults is a weeks holiday for 2 people to Faro-Algarve, Alicante, Lanzarote, Malaga or Tenerife The second adult prize is a trip to Manchester.

The children are in for a treat too with a very exciting prize of a trip to London with Aer Lingus, LEGOLAND Windsor and Ireland West Airport Knock.  The second prize is a Nintendo 3DS Console with a popular game and the third prize is a PS Vita Slim with a Lego Games pack.
