Sinead buries parents on her birthday

The daughter of the tragic Athlone couple shot dead in Tunisia spent her birthday yesterday saying a tearful goodbye to her beloved parents.

Sinead Hayes was comforted by her extended family and close friends as well as hundreds of friends, neighbours, and colleagues of Larry and Martina Hayes at their funeral Mass in the Church of St Peter and St Paul in Athlone.

Beforehand, Sinead had personally waited at the entrance of the church to greet early arrivals for her parents’ funeral Mass and to thank them for their support.
