Charge is ‘most technical of faults’

A man caught with cannabis which his father used for a medical condition was convicted of a drugs supply charge for what his solicitor described as the most technical of technical supply offences.

Charge is ‘most technical of faults’

David O’Mahony, of Clogheen, Hettyfield Park, Douglas, yesterday pleaded guilty at Cork District Court to a charge of possessing cannabis for sale or supply on December 27, 2014.

On that date, Garda Colm Spring observed O’Mahony asleep on the footpath at High St, Cork, as a result of intoxication. He brought him to Bridewell Garda Station, where, during a search, three blocks of cannabis resin with a street value of €450 were found in O’Mahony’s possession.
