Dublin Hotel offers 50% off to Irish Water rebels

A hotel in Dublin has raised eyebrows with its latest deal — offering 50% off to anyone refusing to register with Irish Water.

Charleville Lodge in Phibsborough posted the offer on its Facebook page on Monday, with almost 1,000 people sharing it.

“Did you register for Irish Water today? If so, you are a little silly, as paying for something twice doesn’t seem to make much sense,” they wrote.

The hotel is offering overnight stays for half price, provided customers present the Irish Water application pack “in the form of a paper airplane”.

The hotel said interest in the offer was huge.
