The matter — involving 10 summonses — was before Kenmare District Court yesterday where Mr Healy-Rae’s solicitor, former Kerry footballer Eoin Brosnan, represented him.

Mr Brosnan was granted an adjournment and is to be furnished with documents such as Garda notebooks.

Mr Healy-Rae, of Main St, Kilgarvan, being the holder of the licence for Healy-Rae’s Bar, is being accused that on the night of March 23/24 2013, he sold alcohol after 11 pm; that he had his premises open unlawfully; that he unlawfully exposed intoxicating liquor for sale after hours and allowed alcohol to be consumed; and had kept the bar open after hours.

The summonses are in the name of Garda Fiona Cremin.

A separate similar set of summonses, in the name of a different garda, relates to the night of October 12, 2013, and Mr Healy-Rae is accused of having the bar open after 12.30am on that occasion.

Garda James Hendrick is the garda who is summonsing Mr Healy-Rae on the October allegations.

Mr Brosnan said he was looking for documents, and Judge James O’Connor said he was adjourning the matter to allow Garda notebooks and other matters to be furnished to the solicitor.
