Boost for Cork as Canadian IT company set to create 105 jobs
OpenText already employs 15 staff in Clonakilty and will move to a new, as yet unidentified, office in Cork City.
OpenText said its new operation will provide support for Enterprise Content Management and Customer Experience Management products for the European, Middle East, and Africa region, and other global markets.
It will recruit technical analysts “with supporting language skills”, as well as senior management roles.
Senior vice-president for worldwide customer service, James McGourlay, said: “Cork met all of our requirements for expanding our business in the region: A strong talent pool, a growing technology ecosystem, and supportive public partnership. OpenText is committed to being a trusted partner to our customers, and having a local support centre in Cork will bring significant benefits to our European customers as they embrace a digital-first world.”
IDA boss Martin Shanahan said Cork continues to attract companies.
