Budget ‘must address housing’

The Government must invest €500m in Budget 2015 to deliver the 3,000 homes needed to tackle the growing homeless and affordable housing crisis, said Focus Ireland.

The charity made the call in its pre-budget submission as it published data showing that 45 families became homeless in Dublin in September.

More than 350 families have become homeless so far this year in Dublin.
