More emigrants from Ireland than any other EU country

Ireland maintains its reputation as the emigrant country of Europe with close to a third saying they had spent time working outside the State.

They were more likely than people in most of the rest of the EU to have studied or worked abroad and to have taken traineeships in another EU country.

But a quarter did not believe that studying or training abroad is appreciated or improves their chances of getting a job at home.
