Four gardaí hurt in scuffles during anti-austerity protest

Three men were arrested during an anti-austerity protest outside the European People’s Party congress in Dublin last night after a fight broke out between two groups of protesters.

According to gardaí the three were arrested for public order offences and taken to Store Street Garda station to be processed.

A Garda spokeswoman confirmed that officers were forced to intervene.
