As freezing temperatures chilled them to the core last night, hundreds of diehard Garth Brooks fans probably often wondered would tomorrow ever come.

Will tomorrow ever come: Queuing for Garth tickets

In particular, the likes of Rob Coyle, a father of two from Limerick City, who started queuing outside Gleeson’s Sports Scene on William St at lunchtime on Tuesday for tickets for the country music star’s July concerts in Croke Park.

In Cork, Terrie Drummond from Glanmire, took up her position outside Merchants Quay Shopping Centre at 7am yesterday. ā€œI absolutely love him,ā€ she said. ā€œBack in 1994 when he was here and playing the O2, my dad would not let me go because I was too young. In 1997 I was on holidays when he was here. This time I am definitely going to get a ticket.ā€

Perhaps one of the most fortunate ticket hopefuls was Neepa Sodhi from Douglas in Cork City.

A fan since the age of six, she was the only person queuing at ProMusica on Oliver Plunkett St. Staff kindly brought her in and let her sit at the back of the shop and read until 6pm closing time, before she had to return to the elements for the rest of her wait.
