Gilligan loses bid for legal notice over sale of assets
The High Court’s Mr Justice George Birmingham said the Gilligans had no entitlement to a legal notice, warning prospective purchasers of Jessbrook Equestrian centre in Meath, and of a number of other properties, that they are subject to legal dispute.
A constitutional challenge by the Gilligans to the Proceeds of Crime Act, under which the properties were seized, was also struck out by the judge as an abuse of process.
The property includes a house at Meadowbrook Court, Maynooth, Kildare, two houses at Westfield Green and Willsbrook Park in Lucan, Dublin, another at Corduff Avenue, Blanchardstown, and land at Tamahoe East in Clane, Kildare.
