Women have been warned there could be a link between a chemical found in heated plastic and possible miscarriage.

The study by researchers at Stanford University indicates that pregnant women should avoid tinned or microwaved foods and even drinking from plastic bottles that have left out in sun because of a chemical called Bisphenol A (BPA).

Specifically, the study found that the presence of BPA could raise the risk of miscarriage in women who are prone to miscarriage or who have had difficulty getting pregnant.
