CAB holds eBay auction for €9k Rolex bought by Limerick crime gang member

In a first, the Criminal Assets Bureau is selling their loot on eBay, namely a ladies watch which it’s believed was bought by a member of one of the Limerick crime gangs.

The Ladies Rolex Oyster Perpetual Datejust comes with full certification, is still in its box and purchased new is worth over €9,000. This watch is categorised as used in the sale, but has a 24-month guarantee from Keanes of Cork, Limerick and Galway. Bidding starts at €6,000 and any interested parties have less than 10 days to get their offer in.

CAB said it is treating the auction as a test case for the future sale of other seized high value luxury items on the internet, as happens in other European police forces.
