More young people with mental health issues in Kerry are now seeking help, a conference heard.

More than 450 secondary students from the county attended the Kerry Children’s Services Committee conference in Killarney.

Consultant psychiatrist Claire Craven, of the Brothers of Charity child and adolescent mental health service, said there had been a significant increase in referral rates over the past five years.
