Girl crushed by car has to wait 30 minutes for ambulance

A girl who suffered severe internal injuries after being crushed by a car had to wait 30 minutes for an ambulance to arrive.

There were calls last night for the HSE to review the emergency response time after the accident on the northside of Cork City.

One of two men who lifted the car off the seriously injured child said he thought she was going to die as they waited for the ambulance.
