Nursing home ‘risking’ health of its residents

A nursing home, it has been claimed, is potentially putting the health of residents at risk by failing to meet strict hygiene standards.

The claim was made by Health Information Quality Authority inspectors in a 40-page report on the Glanmire Residential Care nursing home in Co Cork.

The document, based on three separate unannounced inspections on the facility earlier this year, said the nursing home met a number of standards and took an interest in residents.
