The HSE has confirmed plans to publish the findings of a formal review into why an ambulance was not sent to help a critically ill toddler who died after falling from a window last month.

The review into the management of a 999-call, made at 2pm on May 7 from Midleton, Co Cork, announced on May 10, will take between six to eight weeks to complete from its announcement, the HSE said. It means a draft report could be ready within two weeks.

It will first be returned to Dr Cathal O’Donnell, the medical director of the National Ambulance Service (NAS).
