CSO figures show that city living has its plus sides

While standard of living is generally perceived to be higher for those living outside of Dublin, recent research shows the gap is actually not that big and that life in Dublin holds many bonuses.

CSO figures show that city living has its plus sides

People living in Dublin have more money to spend with a disposable income of €21,515 — this is 11.4% more than the rest of the country. People in all the other regions were below the national average, including a disposable income of €19,759 in Cork, €17,261 in Kerry, €18,596 in Waterford, €18,111 in Clare and €19,905 in Limerick

Most of the country’s professionals are living in Dublin, with 10% of its population in this bracket compared to 5.3% in Limerick, 6.7% in Clare and 5.3% in Limerick City. In Cork, 7.2% were classified as professional.
