Almost all adults in Ireland own a mobile

Mobile phones are the most commonly used telecommunications service in Ireland with almost every adult in the country (97%) possessing one.

In contrast, landline use has fallen to 69%, a study shows.

At 95% of those surveyed, TV ownership still outranks the 75% of those who use laptops while smart phone ownership stands at 54%.
