Phoebe bully faces jail on breaking and entering charge
Sean Mulveyhill, one of six high school students charged following Phoebe’s Jan 2010 suicide, appeared in court in Massachusetts on Monday.
He was charged with felony breaking and entering of a house in South Hadley after being discovered by the homeowner early on Sunday morning.
Mr Mulveyhill, who dated Phoebe a few months before her death, was also charged with being under 21 in possession of liquor.
Following his court appearance, he was released without having to post any bail.
A probable-cause report stated: “The homeowner found Mulveyhill inside the home in the kitchen. Mr Mulveyhill admitted to entering into the home.”
He now faces a jail term if convicted of the felony, a more serious charge. He received one year’s probation after pleading guilty in May 2011 on one misdemeanour charge of criminal harassment.
Phoebe Prince was a 15-year-old student at South Hadley, where she had moved from Co Clare with her mother and siblings in the summer of 2009.
She took her own life six months later after it was alleged she was subjected to a campaign of harassment and intimidation by a group of students at the school.
