Hurt fisherman goes overboard before medical rescue

Rescue services believe the crewman, who was in his early 40s, went into the water just three hours before his vessel, the 36m Ecce Homo, was due to land at Castletownbere in West Cork yesterday.

He was not wearing a life-jacket when he entered the water about 40km southwest of Mizen at about 4am yesterday.
