New 3D tracking technology which will make it much safer for ships entering and exiting harbours will be unveiled for the first time next week at an international conference in Cork.

More than 300 delegates attending the International Harbour Masters’ Association (IHMA) congress will view firsthand the system developed by GeoVS, a University of Glamorgan spin-off company based in Cardiff.

GeoVS technical director Dr Rafal Goralski will discuss the new technology at the congress which takes place from Monday to Thursday at City Hall.
