HE showed that he will go to any lengths to see the Boys in Green — but Conor Cunningham is hoping to have tickets before the games in June.

The 27-year-old sports and recreation student had his fingers crossed before last night’s draw that Trap’s squad would be stationed in Poland for the early stages, given the relative ease with which he and his pals could get between host cities.

But the chances are that his logistical prowess will stand him in good stead nonetheless, following his antics last month in Tallinn.

Conor from Ballincollig, Co Cork blagged his way into the first of the Republic of Ireland’s two play-off legs against Estonia that secured their place in yesterday’s Euro 2012 draw in Kiev. He even bagged some of the best seats in the stadium by dressing as an official ball-carrier.

The part-time fitness instructor hopes to be better prepared by the time he gets to next summer’s tournament.

“I’d be hopeful we can all get tickets in advance, we couldn’t get into the match in Estonia because of the prices they were charging, with €14 tickets being sold for €500 or €600 each,” he said.

The secret to his gaining entry three weeks ago was the Estonian squad tracksuit he found after sneaking past security.

“I was thinking about raffling or auctioning it for charity, but maybe it’ll have to come with me to the tournament first. It was a bit of a lucky charm for the lads that night, 4-0 was some result so I might have to pack it with the green jersey,” laughed Conor.
