A DOCTOR gave inadequate resuscitation to a man who had a heart attack and subsequently died, it has been claimed.

A Medical Council fitness to practise inquiry heard yesterday that Dr George Dimitrov Georgiev gave cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) to John Dunne, 65, from Dublin, when he was sitting in a chair in July 2009.

The South African doctor, who worked as a GP for the out-of-hours agency, Contractors, is facing six allegations of professional misconduct and poor professional performance over the care he gave Mr Dunne and the way he communicated with the dead man’s family.
