Gourmet’s dream for lucky few

DIETING is definitely not on the menu tonight as the Tipperary Food Producers once again tantalise the tastebuds of food lovers from all over the country with their annual Long Table Dinner, which takes place in the historic grounds of Cashel’s Rockwell College.

Now in its fifth year, the banquet, which has been sold out for weeks, is promoted as “a gourmet’s dream”, bringing 300 guests on a culinary tour of Tipperary with a special menu of seasonal products sourced exclusively from the 30 members of the Tipperary Food Producers network.

With excellence the common denominator for the banquet, members of the network include a host of well-known brands including Cashel Blue Cheese, Hickey’s Bakery, James Whelan Butchers in Clonmel, The Apple Farm in Cahir and Seymour Organic Farm in Borrisokane.
